Testing Samples - OHIO

The state of OH is the ONLY state that REQUIRES a sample product be submitted for testing as a requirement of registration. A LICENSE WILL NOT BE ISSUED FROM OH WITHOUT SAMPLE TESTING.

The testing procedure determines whether the filling material statement on the law label (All New Material Consisting Of…) is what is actually in the product. The testing sample is taken apart and it's filling materials are separated and weighed to determine the actual percentages. This must match the description of the filling materials on the provided law labels. Any inconsistencies will need to be corrected before the license can be issued.

During the registration process you will be notified when to send the samples. You can download the instructions here which describe how to send samples for different types of products and where to send them along with the contact information for the OH laboratory. When the sample arrives at the OH laboratory, it will be paired up with your registration application submitted by Global Registration Services, Inc.
